Founded by Marcu Alexander and her family as a way to help fund the research efforts for Heart Cystinosis, Hearts for Hadley has hosted several fundraising efforts and broke the $100,000 mark at their most recent event. Due to limited government funding because of the rarity of Heart Cystinosis, Hearts for Hadley and other organizations like it form the primary basis of funding efforts searching for a cure.
